New Olaf’s Frozen Adventure Merchandise At Disney Store!

That’s right, folks!  Disney Store has released a slew of new Frozen merchandise for the upcoming short, “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure”!  There are costumes, clothes, playsets, plushies, and (of course) dolls!

Anna and Elsa Classic Doll Set from Olaf’s Frozen Adventure:
Disney Store Classic Dolls: Anna and Elsa from Olaf's Frozen Adventure.

This is so exciting!  Anna and Elsa have brand new dresses, new hair-dos, AND a different face mold!

I’ll start off by stating the obvious: I am LOVING these outfits!  I also like Elsa’s new look–which is odd because I usually (almost always) prefer original designs over newer ones.

Olaf's Frozen Adventure Dolls: Anna and Elsa.

Her hair seems more “styled” than “Snow Queen” Elsa which makes me think it will be easier to maintain.  The new face mold appears to have a lot of detail and (in my opinion) a closer resemblance to Elsa’s character.

However, this is just my opinion based off the promo pictures.   To give you an idea of how the new dolls might look when compared to previous versions, here is my 2015 Classic Elsa versus a picture of the “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” Elsa:

And my 2015 Classic Anna versus the “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” Anna:

While I really like Elsa’s new style, I’m not as thrilled with the way Anna turned out.  Her hairdo is too cute and her outfit looks amazing, but I’m just not sure about this particular face mold?  Her jawline seems too…angular?

Like I said before though, these are just my reactions based off the promo pics.  Chances are that both dolls look gorgeous and what I’m seeing has to do more with angle and photography than a flaw with the face mold.  Still, I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for reviews because I’m anxious to see exactly how they compare to previous Frozen dolls.

Now, if the new dolls weren’t exciting enough, an Olaf’s Frozen Adventure Tsum Tsum set has also been released!

Frozen Tsum Tsum Plush Set with Five Micro Tsum Tsums:
EEEEEK!! Aren’t they absolutely adorable!

This is a set of MICRO Tsum Tsums which means they are even smaller than mini Tsum Tsums.  Mini Tsum Tsums are about 3 1/2-inches long, but micro Tsum Tsums are only 2 1/2-inches long!

The description from shopdisney.com (the site recently changed from disneystore.com to shopdisney.com) reads:

  • Set includes a soft sled tote plus five micro Tsum Tsum plushes.
  • Characters Feature Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven.
  • Sven is attached to the sled with felt reins (I wonder if he can be unattached?),
  • Sled features two gifts and a holiday tree–each attached.
  • Embroidered details.
  • Soft, squeezable fill.
  • Fuzzy, plush texturing.

Let me just say that if my budget had any room left, these cuties would already be in the cart!

Well, I believe that covers the latest, Frozen related doll, and Tsum Tsum news.  I’ve heard that a couple of Limited Edition “Olaf’s Frozen Adventure” dolls (Elsa and Anna) are expected to be released sometime this year, but I have no idea when.

So, what do you think about the new Frozen merchandise?  Do you prefer the original dolls or the new versions?  Leave a comment letting us know your thoughts!

  1. Of course, Hasbro! I hadn't even thought about their dolls! A Hasbro Elsa would be a good alternative though. If the dresses were too plain it would be easy to add a few gems to gussy them up.

I'll have to check them out once our Walmart gets them in (the stores around here are REALLY slow at restocking). Thanks for the info!

  2. You might be interested to know that Hasbro is releasing their own versions of Anna and Elsa based on the new Frozen short. The dolls have started showing up at Walmart, and the interesting thing is that they seem to be less 'stylized' than other recent Hasbro Disney Princess dolls. The proportions seem to be closer to a standard fashion doll. Granted the outfits are much more simplified than the Disney Store versions.

FYI, at the two different Walmart stores that I was at the new Elsa dolls were placed BEHIND Anna on the shelf, I guess to save on shelf space for the coming holiday season. Just letting you know in case you decide to check out the Hasbro dolls in person.

  3. Yes, they are pretty! I kind of wish the dolls were sold separately because I think Elsa looks fabulous (plus I'd really like to have her dress?). I wonder if the new faces are just for the Olaf's Frozen Adventure dolls or if they'll be used on future Frozen dolls?

  4. Oops, I mean't these dolls are so cool!:)
