Can you believe it! Marvel released three trailers in the same week–THREE! I’m reeling with excitement?!
It all started with the second Captain Marvel trailer debuting on ESPN last Monday (December 4th).
Then came the long-awaited Avengers 4 trailer and title reveal! Fellow Marvel fans, I present the official trailer for Avengers Endgame:
GREAT SCOTT! Tony Stark is lost in space without food or water! Not only that, he’s quickly running out of oxygen?. I think Marvel has it out for me. First Loki and now Tony!
Well, if you think we’re gonna sit around and let Iron Man die, you’ve got another thing coming! After seeing his grim circumstances, fans took matters into their own hands and asked that NASA rescue Tony Stark.
Regardless of whether we’re devoted or daft, NASA decided to play along. They replied with a humorous tweet telling Marvel and their followers to listen for a distress call, specifically one saying, “Avengers, we have a problem.”
All joking aside, things don’t look good for Tony Stark. At this point, I’m both excited and terrified to see the next movie.
Yes, there were other clips besides Tony’s emotional farewell to Pepper?. We see Steve Rodgers with tears running down his face, Bruce Banner reviewing images of missing people, and Clint Barton as Ronin.
Yep, Hawkeye’s back and in full Ronin gear! We see him wearing a dark, hooded outfit and brandishing a long sword. Let’s just say he doesn’t look happy.
Then the stinger at the end is Scott Lang arriving at the New Avengers Facility. Somehow Scott escapes the Quantum Realm and drives the van (which is now a mini Quantum tunnel) to New York.
I have a hunch Ant-Man will play a big role in this movie (no pun intended?).
As if that wasn’t exciting enough, the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer was shown to the lucky attendees of CCXP (Comic-Con Experience) in Brazil on Saturday.
There were rumors the trailer would also appear online, but the online release was pushed back. It may show up sometime this week, though. However, there are descriptions of the trailer all over the internet. If you’re dying to know what happens, a quick google search should get you what you need.
Clearly, this was an epic week for Marvel fans, so I say we celebrate by making a Captain Marvel comic book for our dolls!
For this craft you will need:
- Captain Marvel Comic Book from our Printables page.
- Scissors.
- Clear Packing Tape.
- Glue Stick.
- Wood Glue.
- Start by printing off the Captain Marvel comic book printable from our Printables page.
The printable has two sizes–one for playscale dolls (11 1/2″) and one for 1:12 scale Marvel Legends figures (6-7″).
- Cut out the size comic you want and cover the front with clear packing tape.
The tape will make the pages glossy like a real comic and, more importantly, protect the paper.
- Cut off any excess tape.
- Flip the pages over to the backside (white side). You should be able to see the white line dividing the pages through the paper. Lightly score down the center of the white line.
- Fold the pages along the score lines accordion style. Then, using a glue stick, glue the white sides of the pages together.
- Use a clothespin or binder clip to clamp the pages and hold them in place until the glue dries.
Once the pages are dry, we can create the binding. I’m using wood glue for this step because it makes a strong binding.
- Take a toothpick and use it to smear the wood glue along the spine and into all the creases (just make sure not to glue the inside of the pages together).
- Add several layers to build a thick binding.
- After thoroughly covering the spine with glue, set the comic aside to dry.
*Note: You can use craft glue for this step; however, the biding won’t be as thick or durable. The wood glue will dry slightly yellow but, in my opinion, it just gives the comic an aged look.

I’m thrilled with how these tiny comics turned out! They are super cute and colorful!
Wood glue is now my favorite secret weapon for creating miniature book bindings. It keeps the pages in place yet allows the book to open easily.
Part of what inspired this craft is that I wanted to learn more about Captain Marvel before seeing the movie and have started reading the comics online.
So far, I’m really enjoying them. She interacts with the Guardians of the Galaxy a lot, and her cat…er…Flerken is hilarious.

Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8th, 2019. After that we have Avengers: Endgame on April 26th, and Spider-Man: Far From Home is scheduled for early July. 2019 is going to be a marvelous year for sure!
