A Quick Update Plus Avengers: Endgame Marvel Legends And Hot Toys

Welcome back, everyone!  Before we get into today’s post, I’d like to apologize for disappearing from the blogosphere.  Rest assured, I haven’t died, been kidnapped, or snapped into oblivion.

Nope.  Instead, it’s ol’ adrenal insufficiency that has me down.  The weakness, fatigue, and dreaded migraines flared up over the last few days leaving me unable to work on any crafts or unbox any dolls.  It’s a shame too because I was preparing to bump my blog posts to twice a week (ambitious, I know!). I’m still working towards that twice a week goal but, until my body is stable again, posts may be intermittent.  Since I never know how I will feel from day-to-day, I have to play things by ear.

So, there’s a quick update on what I’ve been up to (not much besides resting and reading Hollywood gossip).  Now let’s talk Marvel!

Avenge The Fallen.

Avengers: Endgame is only 23 days away!

I think it’s safe to say that Endgame is the most anticipated movie of 2019.  Tickets went on sale yesterday (April 2nd), and the internet went crazy.  By noon Fandango had an hour-long wait to preorder tickets, and AMC’s site crashed altogether.

Several Marvel fans (including me) were greeted by greyed-out time slots from showtimes selling out or error messages due to heavy traffic.  Yes, I am one of the unlucky losers who didn’t get her tickets.  I logged into Fandango at 8:00 AM only to find the nearest IMAX completely sold out☹️.

Fortunately, our small town theater doesn’t sell out as quickly, so I’ll still be seeing Endgame on opening night–just not on an extra large, crystal clear screen.

Along with ticket presales, we also got another Avengers: Endgame TV spot.  This special look has new footage showing the remaining heroes at the compound, Captain America with his shield, Thanos fully clad in armor and wielding a double-edged sword, and (of course) Iron Man zipping around in shiny new armor!

Needless to say, I’m counting down the minutes until this movie comes out.  Nothing will stop me from seeing it!  (Unless Iron Man has a gut-wrenching demise).

New Marvel Legends At Walmart and Target:

Avengers: Endgame merchandise has also hit shelves.  I found almost every character in the latest Marvel Legends wave at Walmart earlier this week.

Marvel Legends 2019 Thanos Build-A-Figure Wave Figures.

This is another Thanos Build-A-Figure wave; however, this Thanos BAF looks a lot angrier than the previous one.  He is also wearing armor and comes with a double-edged sword.

The characters in this wave are:

  1. Captain America in the white (or grey-ish) Quantum Suit.
  2. Ronin (Hawkeye’s new alias).
  3. Ebony Maw.
  4. Living Laser (the only character I couldn’t find).
  5. Marvel’s Nighthawk.
  6. Citizen V.
  7. Marvel’s Hercules.

As you all know, you’ll need to collect all the figures (except Captain America who does not come with a BAF piece) to build Thanos.

These figures look amazing, but I held off getting them because something else caught my eye.

The Marvel Legends Loki and Corvus Glaive 2-pack!

Oh, this is magnificent!  And it’s so coming home with me!  Yes, dear friends, you can expect to see a review of this Loki and Corvus Glaive set soon?.

While I successfully found Loki and Glaive, it appears eBay scalpers beat me to the Black Widow and Hawkeye 2-pack.

Marvel Legends Hawkeye and Black Widow 2-pack (Target exclusive).

This 2-pack is exclusive to Target and, unfortunately, every store within a 100-mile radius of me is sold out.  I tried ordering online, but it’s currently not available online either.  Since I’m not about to pay the sky-high prices on eBay, I’ll just wait until Target gets another shipment.

Avengers: Endgame Thanos and Iron Man from Hot Toys:

Last weekend, Hot Toys released images of their upcoming Endgame Thanos and Iron Man figures.

Iron Man:

Iron Man’s latest armor is the Mark LXXXV (aka Mark 85).  He is highly detailed, highly articulated, and high on everyone’s wish list (including my own!).

Iron Man Mark LXXXV from Hot Toys.

The figure stands about 12-inches tall.  He is diecast and has over 30 points of articulation.  His accessories are:

  • A Nano Lightning Refocuser (I wonder what this is?).
  • A flight stand with the Avengers: Endgame logo.
  • Articulated air flaps in the backs.
  • Detachable chest plate.
  • Three pairs of interchangeable hands.

I’m glad I waited to see Hot Toys’ Endgame Iron Man before purchasing the Infinity War version because this new one looks amazing.  Even if he is a little pricey, I’m determined to get him.  Whatever it takes!

Like the Marvel Legends Build-A-Figure, Hot Toys’ Thanos is dressed for battle and holding a lethal-looking sword.

This Thanos figure is just over 16-inches tall and has 20 points of articulation.  He comes with two head sculpts.  One has a serious facial expression, and the other is angry.  His updated body has seamless joints, and he is wearing indigo and gold-colored armor.

Thanos’ accessories are:

  • A double-edged sword.
  • An Infinity Gauntlet with two interchangeable hands (one fisted and one with articulated fingers).
  • Four pairs of armored, interchangeable hands.
  • A gold helmet.
  • A figure stand.

Both of these figures can be preordered at Sideshow Collectibles and will be officially released next summer (July-September 2020).

Well, friends, it’s after midnight, so I’d better wrap this post up!

Again, I hope you all forgive me for skipping last week.  As soon as I get my strength back, I’m determined to start publishing more often.  Otherwise, I’m going to end up with a closet full of unopened dolls, Marvel Legends, and blind boxes! (I’ve gone a little blind box crazy lately😉).

  1. I like Pixie Dust Dolls. I’ts so cute!
And please share more photos if you find Avengers End Game merchandising. I live in Chile and here we often can’t find everything that is released

I’m so happy you like the name?!

Don’t worry! I’ll definitely keep sharing Avengers: Endgame toy news, photos, and anything else interesting. I just found out today that Hot Toys is making a sixth-scale Nebula for Endgame. I’m not sure, but I think this is the first time they’ve made a figure of her.

  2. I like the name Pixie Dust Dolls as well, it has a nice ring to it, it is fun and whimsical and still reminiscent of Tinker Bell 🙂

  3. I like the name Pixie Dust Dolls. It’s unique, and with so many other doll blogs on the internet, you need a name that will stand out. I just hope that Disney didn’t trademark the term ‘pixie dust’.

Glad you like the name?. Surprisingly, Disney has not trademarked “pixie dust”. A cosmetic company has, but because I dont sell cosmetics and “pixie dust” is a general term, I can use it without worry.
